Media and Feminism Chapbook Workshop at MoLAA

Join us for a Free LBZF Pre-event!
Museum of Latin American Art
Sunday, March 8th 1pm – 4pm.

1PM — PANEL: “FEMINISM and MEDIA” – in the Screening room
Discuss how feminism has changed in relation to the mediums by which its ideas are distributed, ie: zines/music in the 80-90’s, academic feminism, and the internet today.

2-4PM — WORKSHOP: “CHAPBOOK WORKSHOP” – in the Art Classroom
Join us to learn about the step-by-step process of how to design, organize, and create a chapbook of poetry using Word. Participants can bring laptops with Word installed or just follow along with a hand out. They will view various chapbook examples and share some of their own ideas.

This workshop is hosted by Sadie Girl Press, a small press dedicated to creating print form collections of poetry, art, and beyond! Began in April 2014, SGP works with emerging poets and artists to give physical form to their work.
