What is your favorite part of making zines?

My favorite part of making zines is the whole process, because it is definitely a whole ritual. I have to be laying on my stomach with a ballpoint pen and a paper with Spotify ready. There is nothing more relaxing yet uniquely fun and empowering than when I am listening to music I love and coming up with what I want to say. Coming up with the drawings and text is always the funnest part!

How do zines help you relate/connect to others?

There are a lot of things I think about that cannot be verbally expressed, drawing and writing in my zines brings out the most authentic form of myself and allows me to talk about my experiences, traumas, and triumphs in a way that empowers me and lets me be a little funny about it. They make me feel like I have a space to be my most true self with others which is very liberating for me.
