Why do you make zines?

It’s one of the easiest ways for me to be able to connect with others. I have terrible social anxiety and depression that at times, makes it hard to really communicate with anyone who doesn’t personally know me. Making zines helps me vocalize and process what i’m thinking or feeling in hopes that other people relate!

What was the inspiration for creating your first zine?

I was heavily involved in the DIY music community happening in Orange County and Los Angeles and was inspired by the women in music. It takes a lot of guts to make space for yourself in such a male dominated industry so a lot of my early work were inspired by the women who were fronting these bands and doing it with such confidence and grace that I always wish I had.
