I made my first zine in an illustration class after attending my first zinefest- it was a project I kept coming back to before going to bed, trying to kind of pour all my feelings out so I wouldn’t be kept up all night thinking too hard. I was inspired by my personal experiences with some friendships and put in all of the imagery before I had even thought of any text.
I love the process of starting and the process of binding. Having a tiny sort of book in your hand and being able to hand that to someone else is also a great feeling. At the beginning, things could go anywhere and it’s always fun to play with different kinds of mediums to get a new effect.
