When did you start making zines ... and why?

i started writing zines in 1992 in order to express my opinions, thoughts and feelings.

How do you create your zine content?

i write whenever inspired and when i have enough content i print it all out, find backdrops and spend a few nights ripping and pasting before heading to copy it and fold/staple it all. write when inspired, publish when there's enough of it!

Why do you think independent publishing is important?

it's how people find their voices!

What does the future of zines and independent publishing look like to you?

just as it has been for the last twenty five years!

What was your first zine called? What was it about?

simba, and it was more music orientated, but changed quickly.

What is your favorite part of making zines?

expressing my feelings and having both my friends and strangers read it. sharing ideas and concepts and emotions.

What is your biggest challenge in making zines?

feeling vulnerable over what i have written.
