What was the inspiration for creating your first zine?
The first zine I made was about some cat drama in my house. My smallest cat made a dramatic & barbaric example of a pesky neighborhood squirrel. Some might say public decapitation is heavy material, and unjust punishment for incessant cat-taunting, but I lighten the mood with cute riso printed illustrations.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start making zines?
I would advise anyone who is interested in making zines to just make one! Give yourself a deadline of 1 day and see what you can scrap together. Dip your feet in & demystify the process. Make zines about what you know or what you want to share or about your least favorite condiment.
