How do zines help you communicate your perspective?

Many of our zines are a collaborative effort by our students and staff. We want to showcase these elements of inclusion, teamwork, and collective creativity through our zines. We believe that as a broader community (of artists, zinesters, Long Beach locals, etc.) zines are integral to uplifting each other and creating a better future for individuals of all abilities.

Is there anything you want people know about you and/or your zines?

Able ARTS Work supports a full creative life for all and upholds standards and practices that value the contributions of a diverse community. We have an extensive zine library that dates back to our beginnings in the 1980s and continues all the way to our current zine classes at our day programs and accessible zine workshops at local schools and out in the community. Our zines uplift our mission of “Love Before Learning. Learn for Life.”
