Carrot Cake Press
While attending zine fest last few years, I met lot of interesting artists and zine makers from all over the world. I learned their art-making process and printing techniques such as Risograph and silk screen that I could never learn from elsewhere. Also, some people asked me how I made my art and I was more than happy to tell them about my process and what my arts meant to the world. It's quite amazing how zines make us connect to each other.
Last year, I bought a small zine about potatoes and what foods you can make with them. It's the simplest zine in the world but reading it just made my day. The creator probably really liked potatoes, I assume. I would give advice to the beginners that they should make zines about what they really like and zines don't have to be something serious. It can be something simple and light-hearted and there's nothing wrong with that.
