We're a four person art collective that emphasizes on creating one of a kind zines featuring our photography, words, and illustrations. Each member has their own distinct style and template to present. We've been making zines for the last 10 years and we continue to push the boundaries we know and make something new and unique. This year we will produce a whole new set of film photography zines.

The zines that I create are tend to be autobiographical because I want to share my personal experiences of being a Central American weirdo. I will be sharing a recently self-published comic and an illustration zine that talks about identity politics and using positive affirmations to uplift the different kinds of Central American femmes and women I have encountered with.

I explore a lot in my work but try as much as I can to highlight image based narrative over text based to open to a larger group. Discussing humor, character, and sometimes sex positivity. More than anything I strive for my content to be relatable. I also strive to push the limits of paper and riso graph trying to incorporate pop ups of as I mentioned before non text based narrative.

I make comics about life, love, and loss -- which I have compiled into single story zines (e.g. "Release" about how we store trauma in our bodies and how we must shake it out, or "Aging" about how ghosts too can age) and diary comic zines ("Here and Now" compiling comics about home, activism, and the first 100 days). I also have a photography+letters zine called "Dear Daughter".

We'll be selling zines from the valley-based EAT Art collective, which aims to amplify voices that are often invalidated + misunderstood. Much of the work revolves around "taboo" subjects like addiction, trauma, and mental illness in an effort to relieve the stigma surrounding them. We also distribute zines made by kids in an attempt to teach them the power of their voices and value of their art.

Most of the zines we publish are made for the weirdos. Anyone who has interests that have always marginalized them or made them feel alone. Horror, oddities, the strange and unusual. Shit Sux Press brings together the weirdos and gives them something to bond over. Creepy stuff, fucked up relationships, etc.

All of my zines are of illustrations based on original concepts of mine. One of the zines is called "It Hurts Until It Doesn't" which is based off of my depression & anxiety and shows some deadpan humor on how it feels to deal/cope. Another is a third installment of my "Horrorscopes" which is my astrological horoscope series. Another is "Ni De Aqui, Ni De Alla" which is about being queer/brown.

Most of my zines are about everyday life and the experiences that I have with it. They range from illustrated zines of random thoughts I might have through a day, to coping with and navigating through everyday struggles, and also being involved in the surf and skateboarding cultures. Some are funny, some are sad, some just look cool, some are informational. Overall I hope they're just enjoyed!

Several of my zines are poetry zines. I also have two perzines: one is about my dream of opening a bakery/bookstore and the other is about all the things I love in my life (the latter was created in response to a culture that focuses solely on romantic love instead of the broader definition of love we can have). I also have a Love Activism pamphlet about daily, radical kindness.

While most of the content is visual, the expression is varied and some works have text. A sample of our themes include gayness, fruits, trans-visiblity, skateboarding for femmes/queers, balance, relationships, and discovery.
