When did you start making zines ... and why?

I started making them after a very bad time period in my life. I used zines as a way of healing since I saw friends of mine use zines as a way to express themselves. I started to make zines after supporting a friend of mine at LBZF 2016 and purchasing some cool zines. Ever since then, I started to make zines about my personal experiences and about being a femme in the LA Hardcore scene. My best friends Rosy joined in by making the cover art for Brown Grrrl, Chapin and Other Love Stories, and the Ska Zine volume 1. My best friend Eddie joined the zine once he contributed to the first edition of the Ska zine that we released in November 2016. We've been continuing to grow as a zine and as people. We love meeting new people and other people being able to enjoy our zines.

What is your favorite part of making zines?

Creating them and exploring new ideas into making zines. Meeting other zinesters and talking to them about their own creative process. Going to cool places and events just to talk about zines.
