What are your current zines about?

HOMEGIRLS book - photos of Canela, Morena, and Luna. CHANNEL ST zine - photos of Channel Street skate park in San Pedro. GREASER - photos of teen greaser Alfonso, taken while I was in high school.

When did you start making zines ... and why?

I started making zines in 2010 to self publish my own work, when no one else would.

How do you create your zine content?

I shoot my own photos on film, scan them onto my computer, design and layout into a book/ zine.

Why do you think independent publishing is important?

We all have our own voice and point of view. Continuing self expression and self exploration is important for people as artists to grow. Independent publishing is complete freedom of expression without anyone else interfering with your ideas.
