Porkbelly Comics

We (Choi and Eric ) have been collaborating on a comic recipe book series entitled Korean / American since April of 2014. In the series, we explore our relationship, our recipes and our love. Under the collective title of Porkbelly Comics, we continue to creatively explore those things that make it all worthwhile – food and family. We print, fold and bind our books at home.

When did you start making zines ... and why?

In April of 2014, we collaborated on our first comic recipe book entitled, Korean / American: Everyday Cooking. It actually happened quite by accident - as Choi needed a book to show for MoCCA '14 - so we came up with the recipes and story in a night!
