When did you start making zines ... and why?

I use to make little books when I was little so I think it started from there... the root was always about drawing, writing, and sharing. And then more "officially", a few years ago when I started to draw everyday for a project illustrating Yoko Ono twitter tweets.

How do you create your zine content?

I usually draw the content, assemble on the computer, but this time around I'll also have another one that will be hand folded by 8 panel zine.

Why do you think independent publishing is important?

Cause especially folks who are qtpoc the publishing world doesn't care what or who we are all about... it's for the smaller marginalized voices to be heard and the power is all in our hands.

What does the future of zines and independent publishing look like to you?

More accessible.

What was your first zine called? What was it about?

Yoko : Selected work from my #365yokoonoillustratedtwittertweets project.

What is your favorite part of making zines?

Scheming out the pages, orientation of them, as well as the covers..

What is your biggest challenge in making zines?

TIME!
