Floss Editions

As a printer/publisher the content of our zines varies from title to title. As of late we have been mostly focused on illustrations and more visual books, but we are currently working on zines featuring poetry and interviews as well.

When did you start making zines ... and why?

As Floss Editions we began printing and publishing zines and books around May of last year. I think for us, the process of creating and planning together as a couple is super fulfilling and zines allow us to share that with the world for a relatively low investment. Also we think our friends are crazy talented so we love being able to help put their stuff out too.

What is your favorite part of making zines?

It's certainly frustrating and tedious, but I think my favorite part is collation. Whether it's our own personal work or that of our friends' it's always so nice seeing everything come together into its finished form.

What is your biggest challenge in making zines?

Just finding enough time and energy. We both work pretty standard 9-5s so sometimes it's a struggle to find the energy to work in the studio.
